Sugarglider infection

My sugar glider had a big sore on his butt area and I extracted the puss and took him to the vet. They gave me antibiotics for him.
He is acting very normal and eating, BUT now it has become a large hole
and the vet said it might be cancer. He took a biopsy to send it in. Poor little guy, it must hurt. Any suggestions of what it might be or how to treat it?

Mimi,
I am not a vet and I can not tell you what to do for your little guy. I can tell you that you made that right choice in taking him to the vet though. That shows that you are a very kind-hearted owner. The veterinarian knows the possibilities best, just love him and hold him and do as your vet instructs! :)

Thank-you for your concern, you are the only one who could give me any advice. Update: He does have cancer and he is as active and eating good as ever. Seems to grunt when he eliminates, but other than that, he is in good spirits. I am giving him Flaxseed and an enzyme that boosts the immune system up to 400%. This is all I can do for my sweetypie.

Mimi,
He seems like he is well cared for. I'm sorry to hear that he was confirmed that he has cancer. It least he doesn't appear to be in any kind of pain. Just keep a close eye on him and make sure everything seems all right. Does he require surgery or anything to heal the cancer?

Lauren, No there is no surgery they can perform to help him. Bless you for your concerns for my little sweet dearly loved creature.

Sugar Shock,
My Gizmo is doing great so far. He hisses a little when he goes potty, but

other than that, he is in good spirits. He was just crawling all over me and his poops are nice and solid and just ate some Cream cheese with flaxseed, an almond, and now an Asian pear. In my robe in his pouch now

cuddling with me. I am enjoying him for as long as I may have him.  Thanks for asking.

Mimi,
I am glad to hear that your 'Gizmo' is doing well. Do you know of anyone who could transport a glider from Houston, Texas to me in South Florida?

Thanks.

Sorry, I don't know any out of state glider people at all. Hope you find someone.
