How did they diagnose your glider with Cancer, if you don't mind me asking?

My sugarglider, Gizmo died the night of Friday the 13th. Go figure. He really slowed down that night and even though he was half alive, he was still trying to eat his fruit and veggies like a good boy. He was soooo sweet and never tried to run from me, but stay on me always. He hung in there for 3 full months with his cancer. I will miss him terribly and thank-you all for your compassion.

Mimi,
I'm so sorry Gizmo passed on. =/ I thought he was going to pull through. He wanted to hang on for you. I assure you, you did all you could to make him comfortable during his last months, down to that very day. He loved you, it was just his time to go.

Update: I also received those three boys from the airport on February 28th. They are such sweethearts, Aussie, Gizmo & Scooter...my three little men. :)

Mimi,
It is no problem, and if you are located close to Florida and want another Sugar Glider I have a extremely sweet female available for $200.00 she is beautiful, and in need of some loving. :)

I can't afford to buy another one right now. Put $500 into the last one and scared to get another one. Too nervous something might happen to it.
Don't know of anyone who has ever had one over 5 or 8 yrs old. I think maybe they should be left in the wild right now. But maybe change my mind. Had 3 already and none made it past 3yrs. SAD

Mimi,
I understand. Why aren't yours living past three years? Could you tell me precisely what diet they are on? Treats? Other foods? What size cage? Are they kept in pairs? Alone? Just about their general care...I'm not accusing you I just want to help you locate the route of the problem so you may one day be a happy glider owner once more.

Very simple explanation:
#1  Ran off / I think he got out and went out through the dryer vetn

#2  Babysitter accidentally fried him with a heater too hot

#3 Cancer
