Posted: Sat May 16, 2009 4:27 pmI was outside of my house talking with my boyfriend a few minutes ago. My bedroom window faces the front of the house, in front of the window I have a palm tree. In that palm tree, a mama birdy built her nest. The babies had just hatched, and we were looking that direction. All of a sudden, a HUGE black crow comes in and swoops into the nest. He got away with one baby but we ran over there and scared him off before he could take the other. He managed to grab it though and drop it. We think the little guy broke his wing and ripped his neck up, it was bleeding pretty bad. We picked him up, I wouldn't have if I thought he'd have any chance at survival...but he was in horrible shape. I took him in the back yard, he passed away in my hands and we buried him. :'( It was so sad, I couldn't stop crying!!!
