well i would keep him away for a while, and maybe let the cage on the floor so they can explore each other safely, you will be able to see the gliders reaction pretty well, if he wants to explore it, and you really think its safe, after a few cage intros id hold the glider near the dog and see how he reacts, but if he tries to run and hide from the dog i would never introduce them.
i know most people say to never let other animals near( and not sure i would), but i guess its possible for them to get along, so im trying to be more open to this idea. But please watch them read close, things can happen quick., expecialy with big dogs. dont think i would ever let 2 dogs be with the glider at the same time though, that would be too much to try and control.
One thing i did when i had kittens is i would put bumbum in a big rolly ball and let him roll around the house in that, that way the kittens couldnt get him, they actually ran from him! pretty funny to watch but even then i was always watching them.
