I have my 2 gliders on the bml diet, and like all gliders, they're messy messy messy!  When I  feed them at night, the bml mix is thick, but it melts, and they get it all over their paws, and all over the cage.  When it dries, it's like glue on the bars.  I have always used clorox or lysol sanitizing wipes, then wiped it down with plain water.  The wipes aren't strong enough--they rip.  I'm thinking a brillo pad or a grill scrubber?  Anyone have any ideas?

I use magic erasers. Thumbs%20Up

However, I rinse out the eraser before using it and also wipe down the cage(with a damp rag) when I'm done. There have been rumors of chemicals in the erasers, but I have yet to find solid proof, so I just take precautions. :\

Oh yeah, and make sure to remove any pieces that might fall off while scrubbing.

It cuts my cleaning time in half(if not more!)!

Take the whole cage to a car wash and preassure wash it, that works the best.

Have you ever heard of a Glider Kitchen?  You can make one out of a plastic shoe box or a plastic bowl.  Turn it upside-down and cut a hole in the side of the bowl or box so they can get in.  Then use the lid for the floor to put their dishes on.  They make the biggest part of the mess inside this Kitchen and not all over the cage and walls.  It works really well.   I even put a little damp paper towel on the floor of their Kitchen for a place mat.

The easiest way for me to clean my cage is to drag the thing outside and hose it down. I have no idea if I should or could be using some kind of cleaning chemical but the hose works great. Mine are real stinky buggers! hvmarie2009-10-11 16:28:38

I reported it to admin, they remove it!  Darn spammers have no shame.    When I take my cages outside every 3 months I wash them with bleach water.  Then every 3 days I wipe them down with clorox wipes. once a week I wipe down with bleach water and rinse.  When using a glider kitchen.......I so need to.....................I would put 2 holes to go in and out of for more than one glider in case a food aggressive fight breaks out there are 2 exits.......JMO
