Hello,
Last night, I noticed that my girl sugar glider plays/ eats her bedding( carefresh) . I did not know she was able to reach to the paper and take it. Sawing that I removed the bedding. I put napkins instead as I did not have a newspaper. I was thinking that since napkins are relatively low compared to bedding in the tray, they will not be able to grabbed it. This morning my fiancé called me when I was still sleeping, and show me disaster that they left and my male sugar glider was chewing on one of the napkins. Now, I am worried that they ate some it it, I saw female chewing piece of it last night and then my fiancé saw little boy playing/ chewing napkins. Please, help what should I do now. Is there a way to make sure that they are ok? What signs should I watch for to make sure tha if they are ok? Little girl is eating her food now and little boy already went to bed.

Please, help!

Odds are that they are simply chewing it and spitting out a small clump instead of swallowing it. Sugar gliders are masticators like that. I would certainly not use Care Fresh or any other bedding product. Get newspaper or find a roll of white or brown packing or butcher paper to line the tray.

Butcher Paper Roll

Realistically, you dont need anything to line the catch tray, just clean it out every day or other day or when you can.

I would bet that the critters will be fine, but you might look at broadening your diet. I suspect they are missing something.
