I am really interested in purchasing a sugar glider. I work and go to school so my time with it would most likely be in the evenings/night. I know they are nocturnal so I was wondering if this was okay that I wouldn't have that much day time available. I was also looking to purchase 2 if this were a problem. Would that solve it? Thanks!
Two suggies would be perfect. Suggies are very social animals and as a result don't do well on their own. You don't have to get a male/female pair, two females is fine, or female and neutered male, or males that have been brought up together preferably neutered. Neutering helps to keep the smell down, and it can also reduce aggression.
Far too many people are of the belief that single suggies are fine if you spend 2-3 hours a night with them, but look at it the other way, thats 22-23 hours alone, which is torture for a social animal.
