Hello, My sugar glider is getting neutered May 5th. He is by himself as of now, but I'm trying to find him a female companion. Just have a couple questions on how I should go about doing this.

I heard that sugar gliders have a problem with self mutilation (SM) after being neutered. Is this true? If so, what precautions should I take in order to prevent this.

He is one and a half years of age. Is this age too old to get neutered? He has the bald spot on his head and on his chest. Will this patch grow back in after being neutered? And will his scent reduce?

.... think thats it for now lol
