my sugar gliders are new parents and I am worried. They are leaving the babies for longer then I expected. And just now i noticed that mom was carring around one baby and left the other alone. should i worry. well i am all ready but help me not be so worried
i havent had joeys yet. but been reading a lot about them since it is possible my girl gets pregnant. But i dont know if i have read anything pertaining to this situation. let me look around a bit. Keep checking on the other joey to make sure its ok.
thats sort of fine maybe she is leaving them longer because daddy isnt helping, is he? and she needs to eat rest cause she gets tired your other question might be because she takes turns, does she? p.m. if you have anymore info on how they are doing and anymre question?
It's probably to late for advice but, my gliders did the same thing before eatting them. If that ever happends to someone where the parents are leaving the gliders at only a few days out of pouch. I would start hand feeding the joey(s) a few times a day to help the mom. She is probably stressed out like mine was. Keep a very watchful eye incase of further reection or so they dont eat them.
My suggies will often leave joey's for a while, in fact last night one of my girls had one twin in pouch and one in the slepping pouch. An hour later I checked them and she had them both together.
How long is the one being left for? Is it the same one everytime? Can you see any marks like bites or anything on him/her?
