My boyfriend and I recently bought 2 sugar gliders. A male and a female. We were quite surprised when about a month ago we noticed 3 tails instead of 2! We happilay began doing research on how to bring up the babies and learned to just keep the diet steady and mommy and daddy should take care of little bud by themselves. They've been doing a wonderful job. His eyes have just opened this week and he's starting to become loads more vocal. He's still getting milk from Dublin (his mommy) and is still staying in the "nest" (a fleece bag hanging from the side of the cage.) we recently tried to get him to eat some baby food, which he declined. So we've just been letting him nurse from Dublin. The question is, if there is one, what is the appropriate time to remove him from the mother and father. Can he stay once he is an adult? Is there a certain time we should move him so he's not bullied by his father? Will he try and mate with his mother or does he recognize that these are his parents?
