Michael, If your room is completely glider proof, you can go ahead and let him run around during the day as long as he is under STRICT SUPERVISION. I still am strongly opposed to the idea of letting a Sugar Glider out in the evening.
When I first got into gliders I had a glider room that was glider proofed and I let Rocky and Foamy have free reign in. Their cage was in there with the door open. I put their food in thecage with their pouches and stuff. They normally slept in their cage but they played hard at night. They glide and climb everywhere and pee and poo as they go. I dont know how they can potty so much. I had the plug protectors in the outlets too. So you would probably have glider potty on your bed.................LOL
Michael,
Just thought I would post here since this is what we were talking about. I recently purchased a 10ft by 12ft screen room from B.J.'s Wholesale. It is beautiful and the gliders love it, I have it set up in my backyard. I release crickets and they love to go and catch them (they are store bought crickets). With supervision, it's a great idea and the gliders love being outside with the wind and sunlight as long as they are safe. My screen room doesn't have a bottom, it is set up in the grass with a wooden border going all the way around it to prevent them from escaping through the bottom. I'm pretty sure B.J.'s has a website you could visit to find one like it. They love it!
