yes, but not until he is well..............................she will not accept a sick glider so intros must be put on hold for now. in the wild they "dispose of the ill gliders to avoid predators). i have a pair.................together happily for almost 2 years well when Spoencer got ill she kicked him to the curb and live seperately. i am going to have to get her a new friend (neutered of course). and then of course about a month before holly died nick kicked her out...........................................these are smart animals with different personalities and strong instincts!
Yeah, I knew not to put them together while he was sick. He is already so much more calm than her, that with him not feeling well would just be bad haha. So once he is better how do we try to put them together? Everytime we tried in the past she would bite him. We tried swapping their pouches to get used to each others scent, still ended in the same result. I really would like to get them together and hope to start breeding.
takes a month or so of swapping blankies for 2-3 days, then pouches on and off until they are together, toys .....same thing, swap cages after about 3 weeks and leave them. during this period after the 2 week point you can have supervised tent time with them when they are sleeping to see how they will react.....................just have a lg fleece blanket on hand to seperate them with(just grab one of them with it). i have never had any trouble with male/female intros with well gliders!
i meant leave them in those cages seperately. and their cages can be kept close together..................not too close dont want any tails to come up missing during the bonding process..........................if any of this is un clear..........................just let me know!
I bought him at a pet store in Las Vegas when he was a few months old. And I got her from a friend of a friend. They were not able to spend the time with her that was needed. I got her at the beginning of this year, and got him Dec 2007. Stitch is very calm and tame as to Sugar who is hyper and wild. She is a blast to watch when she is cut loose in the house because she is so fast and just all over the place. She also jumps and glides much better than him. I'm not sure if it because she is a little older or what, but Stitch always seems so unsure about himself when he goes to jump.

That could be another indicator he is ill. I would also get some bloodwork done. the severity of the infection and anything else going on might/should show up in some bloodwork.
Has the female had a health check as well? If not, get this done ASAP. Sometimes, gliders have a poor disposition because they are ill.
PLEASE go to Glider CENTRAL (glidercentral.net) and register and read there. There is a ton of information there on introducing gliders and on bonding to them yourselves.
