I'm in the process of moving from Alberta, Canada and Ontario, Canada and I've got a huge problem. The airline (WestJet) refuses to take sugar gliders, they'll take my 2 dogs no problem but will only allow dogs, cats, birds, hedgehogs, and chincillas on flights.
I'm trying the other airline now (AirCanada) to see if their policies are any different but one suggestion I had was to check with the Sugar Glider Association because sometimes the airlines will allow exotic animals to travel for showings if they are with a member of the assocation. Does anyone know if there is a way I can join the association (if there is one) so I can take him myself?
I have a responsible person I trust willing to adopt my glider if all else fails but I love him to pieces, he's part of the family. Does anyone else have any suggestions that could help me? I've thought about just throwing him in my shirt but i'm scared he'll start crabbing with the elevation changes or passing security.
Any help would be great!
Thanks!
