Today in walmart I bought a little perch http://www.walmart.com/ip/Penn-Plax-Cal ... h/10312307(I wanted to give my 2 suggies something to hang on to inside the cage beside the bars.) I know its safe for birds. Is it okay to them? Maybe a stupid question but I just wanted to see if anyone else had any experience with calcium perches? They have already taken to it and seem to like sitting on it while munching their veggies...
Too much calcium can be detrimental to gliders. If you're already feeding a good, balanced diet to your suggies then adding the perch could do them harm if they chew on it(which is what it's meant for).
So, that being said, I would say to NOT use it and take it out immediately.
If you'd like to add some perches to their cage I'd recommend using wooden perches. Many pet stores sell Manzanita perches, which are safe. Gliders also LOVE Eucalyptus. You can buy leaves, branches, and perches from here: http://eucproducts.com/
I've bought from Euc Products. My gliders went BONKERS for the Eucalyptus leaves! < id="gwProxy" ="">< ="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" ="">
