So I've had my little guys for around 5-6 weeks or so.. I bought them when they were 8 weeks old.. anyways one of my little guys was the mean one whilst the other was sweet and quiet. Well it took like 2-3 weeks worth of bite training the mean little one once a day by sticking my thumb in his mouth, and now even when I give him the chance he doesnt bite.. but with the other sugar, I have bite trained him on a few occasions(much less than the first one) and it seems that ever since I had to do it he has gotten more afraid and distrustful with me.. I dont want to only discipline one of them and let the other one slide, but I also don't want him to be afraid of me because of it.. any tips? Jacobrobinson2010-10-20 22:24:41
Let me guess you got them from perfect pocket pets. That thumb thing sounds like Dr. Brusts video and is NOT a method I would ever dream of using on any of my gliders and I have some very bonded social gliders. Your glider is going through the teenage phase. Do you have a tent?? gengi.com has the best popup, screen mesh with a floor. Have you been to glidercentral.net?
Ok well dang, I'm glad you told me, it worked on one of them but the other guy is just mad at me, and yeah i have a tent in which I play with them in, they like to jump on the walls and then crawl onto my hand and repeat
I make the psssssst sound loudly repetitively, redirect with feather teasers, treats, finger puppets. If it doesnt help I end tent time for the night. It will get better right now sounds like they are going through their teen phase!!!
