I am new to having gliders. I absolutely adore them. Bonnie and Clyde. I spoil them rotten. I cook and create various meals each night and they are eating well. They get quite a great variety. I make sure that the meals are proportionate and they get what they need diet wise. I research each day and I am doing it all correctly obviously. They eat well and at a perfect weight. The diet is actually not my concern. It is letting them out of the cage. We do let them out but as soon as I lose sight, I freak out!!! There are so many places for them to hide. How do I deal with this? They have a very large cage and keep very active. However, I know that I should let them out. They are both attached to my husband and myself but I still have this fear they will get hurt!! Any suggestions? Am I being paranoid?
Most folks will get a play tent. You make sure it has a solid bottom and can close up fully. The size is your choice. Many like the quick pop-up style so they can store easily and many also just assemble a large tent and keep it up. A well-sized tent also allows you to go inside and begin to interface with the critters. This allows them to jump to and from you and get familiar with you.
I have never let my loose in the house. They are like toddlers on steroids and accidents happen. I play with mine in a genji tent or a glider safe bathroom! Have fun, sounds like you are enjoying your babies
