I am really new to sugar gliders, I did not know that my female was pregnant, I have no idea what to do, will I have to seperate them when it is older? I dont know when the joey was born I found it last ngiht when I was cleaing the hanging bag that they sleep in it has fur and is not small any more, I need all the help I can get.
What do you need help with? If it's eating on it's own, everything should be great! You will need to separate it if it's a male though, so it doesn't breed with mommy. You can wait a while though. Is daddy still in the cage, or do you just have the female?
you say the baby is big. are its eyes open? is there a lot of fur on it? im not trying to be mean but you really should give your gliders attention at least an hour a day, this is minimum. If the joey is male you will need to seperate him at around 3 months. if it is female and the dad is in the cage too you will need to seperate her at 5 months. or get all males neutered and you can leave them together. heres more info about breeding. let us know how it goes. http://www.suzsugargliders.com/breeding ... iders.html
